This page explains what happens to your information when you use PaperStamp. I've tried to write it the way I'd want to read it — plainly, and without padding it out to sound more impressive than it is.
PaperStamp's tools run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. When you select or drop a file into a tool, that file is loaded into your browser's own memory and processed there — it is never uploaded to a server operated by PaperStamp or anyone else. This isn't a policy choice I could reverse; the site simply has no file-upload backend for the tools to send data to. You can confirm this yourself by opening your browser's developer tools and watching the network activity while you use any tool: you'll see the page's own code and fonts load once, and nothing resembling your document ever leaves your device.
Because of this, I don't retain, see, back up, or have any way to access the files you process here. If you close the browser tab, whatever PaperStamp was holding in memory is gone.
Like most websites, the server that delivers these pages to your browser (hosted on Hostinger) logs basic technical information for security and reliability — things like your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is standard web server behavior, not something PaperStamp adds on top, and it isn't linked to the documents you process, which never reach the server in the first place.
PaperStamp stores one small preference in your browser's local storage: whether you last chose light or dark mode. This stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. PaperStamp does not use tracking cookies of its own.
This site may display advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can review and adjust how Google uses this information at Google's Ads Settings, and read more about how Google uses data in the context of advertising at Google's policy on partner sites. I don't control what data these third-party services collect; this policy only speaks for PaperStamp itself.
The conversion and editing tools rely on open-source JavaScript libraries (including PDF-Lib, pdf.js, jsPDF, JSZip, Mammoth.js, and html2canvas) loaded from public code delivery networks (cdnjs). These libraries run locally in your browser to process your files; they are not services your files are sent to.
PaperStamp is a general-purpose document utility and isn't directed at children. It doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, since it has no facility for collecting files or personal data in the first place.
If anything about how this site works changes in a way that affects your privacy, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
